Just thought I'd pop in to say Hi.

VO is something thats been in the back of my mind for ages, When i was at school one of my friends use to do Hospital Radio & from time to time He'd get me to record some voice overs for him.

More recently I've been looking into doing some podcasts with another friend. I've replied to the podcasting thread in the Acting forum in more detail.

I Hope to try and learn and improve some of my OV skills, and hopefully this will be one of the places to help that.

2: Musically my favourite artist is Bruce Dickinson. Artistically, I don't really get into paintings or whatnot. But the most common variant of art I delve into is manga and there are so many favourite manga artists of mine. Standout would be Kouta Hirano. The later volumes of Hellsing are beautiful... if a little bit sick. Vampire chomping on baby anyone?

3: I have a lot of films for this catagory seeing as I spend most of my time delving into media. This one is a particulary tough one for me, as there is so many films that I love equally. Original Star Wars trilogy is pretty dominant in my mind though, along with the Nightmare Before Christmas, so one of those two.

4: Differs on my mood. Usually my favourite colour is a deep shade of blood red. Else it is black... I have a lot of black clothes come to think of it. I blame my mother. (she has an obsession with black to the point all of her furniture and electronic equipment, even duvets are black)

5: I found this forum by using google. I was looking up how to get into voice acting, since I've been highly curious about it since, well, since I was about 5 years old. After having a read through the site I thought that this might help me get some experiance in the matter. Voice acting is my dream. Well one of them anyway. I wanna be one of those people who do lots of things. Acting, voice acting, writing... you get the drift. But my main passion is to become an actor in general and then try to get into voice acting.

6: That, again, is tricky. I'll eat almost anything that's sat down on front of me. But my general preferance is for Italian, Mexican Japanese or Chinese food. I guess in the fore of my mind (having tried all my other favourite foods to the point I'm sick of them and this dish only once) sits Miso Ramen, that I consumed apon curously entering a ramen bar in my Fiancee's hometown. Little bit annoyed that I haven't seen a ramen bar since. Though I think there is a Japanese bar not far from here. Oh one thing that a lot of my foods have in common. The spice levels would kill normal human beings.

10: I used to play guitar quite a bit. I own an acoustic guitar and also a Warlock electric guitar/AXE.

11: Meh. I don't see the point on console loyalty. This question along with "Ps3 or 360?" I don't even bother to think about. Originally, I was of the mindset that the more consoles that I had the more entertainment doors were unlocked for me. I could play all the exclusive titles for each console. Nowadays exclusive titles are becoming scarce as games developers realise there is more money to be made if they make it multiplatform. So as far as I'm concerned, you only need one to experiance the same games. So as far as Ps3 vs 360 is concerned, the choice is really just do you want to play Halo 3 or Metal Gear Solid 4? < the only reason I'd get a ps3, as my family bought me a 360 but I'm not forking out all that money for one game. The original ideaolgy I had perserveres on handhelds. I have both a psp and a ds and I'm equally happy with both. Though technically more so at the moment with my psp, cause I have just got Dissidia: Final Fantasy. TODAY IS MY BONUS DAY. *nods*

Aloha, I'm Mei, a college freshie who's interested in the entertainment business. I sing, act, and draw, so I'm hoping to someday get somewhere with the singing and the acting, hahaha. Aside from singing and drawing, I love to make candies and desserts. (8 I'm new to voice-acting - never really did anything with it, but I want to try it out. So here I am, trying my hand at something I can do with both singing and acting.

13) What equipment do you use to record ( if you VA)? I HAD a Logitech mike and headset, but alas, it had broketh. Program-wise I use Logic Pro on a Macbook Pro. EDIT: And... I would die of awkwardness from my family if I don't have my Skullcandy headphones... they'd be hearing voices over and over again...

14) Favourite audio drama? I don't have any ): probably because I don't listen to audio dramas.
